Mobility guidance

Business guidance of the Potsdam Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) to promote transnational mobility of young employees and apprentices, in short: mobility guidance (IHK) - German: Die Mobilitätsberatung (IHK)

Besides personal and professionals skills foreign language skills and intercultural experience are becoming more and more of an asset for young skilled employees in today´s global economy. Training abroad is not only beneficial for apprentices themselves but also for the delegating German company and the training company abroad.

A survey of the National Agency of the Federal Institute for vocational training („Nationale Agentur beim Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung") indicates that only about 2 per cent of the apprentices conduct part of their training abroad.

The main goal of the project "mobility guidance" is to increase the number of persons with international experience and to promote mobility within the company. A network will be developed that encompasses existing and new contacts to allow professional guidance for business companies as well as young employees and apprentices.
